Bathroom heating mats are electrical heating elements installed beneath your flooring in one of the wettest rooms in your home, which makes proper wiring a matter of safety as well as performance. Manufacturers require specific circuit sizing, a floor-sensing thermostat, and ground-fault protection, and mistakes made during wiring can damage the mat, void its warranty, or create shock and fire hazards that are extremely difficult to correct once the tile is set.
Professional wiring also protects your investment in the flooring above. A heating mat that fails after tile installation can mean tearing out finished flooring to reach it, which is why we verify every connection and test the mat before it is covered.
Call us anytime at (425) 371-8570 to have your bathroom heating mat wired correctly.
Most bathroom heating mats require their own dedicated circuit sized to the mat's wattage and voltage, which means the mat cannot share a circuit with outlets, lighting, or other bathroom loads. We review your mat's specifications, calculate the correct circuit size, and install a dedicated circuit from your electrical panel to the thermostat location.
Ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protection is required for electric floor heating in bathrooms, adding a critical layer of protection against electric shock. We install the required GFCI protection through a GFCI breaker or a GFCI-protected thermostat, depending on the equipment you have chosen.
Panels and breakers also age, and some older models are more prone to nuisance tripping or, conversely, to failing to trip when they should — both of which we can evaluate during a visit.
Not sure what your heating mat needs? Call us anytime at (425) 371-8570 and we’ll review the specifications.
A heating mat works with a thermostat that monitors the floor's temperature through a sensor probe embedded in the flooring beneath the tile. We install the thermostat in a standard wall box at a convenient height, route the sensor wire to the floor, and position the probe between heating elements so it reads the floor temperature accurately.
Modern floor heating thermostats offer programmable schedules, touchscreen controls, and Wi-Fi connectivity that let you warm the floor before you wake up or turn it off from your phone. We help you choose a thermostat compatible with your mat's voltage and load, and we configure it for the way your household uses the bathroom.

Heating mat wiring involves more than connecting wires. Best practice is to measure the mat's resistance when it is unpacked, after it is laid out, and again before the tile setter covers it, comparing each reading to the manufacturer's rated value. This simple testing catches damage before the mat is buried beneath thinset, tile, and grout, when repair is far more expensive.
We coordinate with your tile contractor so the mat is tested, the sensor is placed correctly, and the final electrical connections are made at the right stages of the project, helping your heated floor work reliably from the first day it is turned on.
Working with a tile contractor? Call us anytime at (425) 371-8570 to coordinate the electrical side.
A bathroom remodel is the ideal time to install a heating mat because the floor is already open for new tile, and a new dedicated circuit can be routed while walls and ceilings are accessible. We coordinate with your contractor to pre-wire the circuit and thermostat location so the mat can be laid and connected when the floor is ready.
Adding a heating mat to an existing bathroom is also possible when the floor is being replaced. We run a new dedicated circuit from your panel to the bathroom, install the thermostat, and prepare the wiring so your new floor heating system is ready for the flooring installer.

Installing a new dedicated circuit for a heating mat typically requires an electrical permit and inspection in jurisdictions throughout Snohomish and King Counties. We handle the permit application, schedule required inspections, and provide documentation of your approved, code-compliant installation, which also helps protect your homeowner's insurance coverage and your home's resale value.

Honest and Upfront We were dealing with a shorted circuit in our house for going on a month and every other electrician that came out for a quote to fix the issue would cost me 250+ ending with an astronomical quote. This was not only frustrating but costing me a fortune and making the problem less traceable the more each company had their hands on it. I called REddie Electric and, after a few general questions on the issue and house, Eddie was able to give me a solid quote on replacing the outdated and rusted panel box along with the circuit to restore the power to the spare room in our house. We were scheduled within a week and the process spanned over 2 days with power only being out for a total of 7 hours on day 2. They replaced our outdated 125 amp panel box with a new 200 amp panel box and quickly discovered a solution to the circuit problem that had been bugging us for weeks. The electricians Vadim and Yasir were super respectful of our home and always kept us in the loop with what’s going on. Communication was never a problem and was always super fast and friendly.Posted on Google![]()

Vadim and Yasir came out to replace and rewire a faulty GFCI receptacle and they were super quick and efficient in getting it completed. I had a couple of questions regarding quotes and different available options, and they were knowledgeable and kind in answering all of them. Will use their services again!Posted on Google![]()

Excellent support from REddie! Had a mysterious electrical issue with 5 receptacles in a 48 year old home that has had multiple projects. Timely response, extensive troubleshooting resources spent identifying a rather obscure location for a loose neutral. Vadim & Yasir were friendly, professional and highly effective. Identified and Updated some code issues in the process.Posted on Google![]()

Eddie was an absolute pleasure to work with. Due to a scheduling mix-up, I found myself in a real bind, with other workers scheduled for the following day who couldn’t do their jobs until I had electricity run above my fireplace. Eddie went out of his way to rearrange his schedule and somehow managed to get someone to my house within just a couple of hours. The electrician he sent—I wish I could remember his name—did an excellent job. He asked lots of questions to make sure everything was done exactly the way I wanted it, carefully measured and double-checked the placement before drilling, and the finished work looks beautiful. He also cleaned everything up thoroughly before he left. I really appreciated Eddie going above and beyond to help me out on very short notice. Great service, excellent workmanship, and a company I would definitely use again.Posted on Google![]()

I found REddie Electric on a Google search looking to update all 9 of the hardwired smoke detectors in my home. Communication has been exceptional, I have been able to text with questions and requests, and received prompt responses, this quality of communication is really important in my world! I received a quote quickly for installation of 9 hardwired “smart” detectors, and was required to pay a 30% deposit to schedule. Yasir arrived on time, was professional, and did an excellent job with installation, testing and clean up. Wonderful attention to detail and was kind enough to greet all my cats and allow them to “help out”. He connected all detectors to my WiFi and Ring app. I really appreciate the ability to be notified of alarms when I am away from my home, and to be able to turn them off without having to push the physical button. I highly recommend REddie Electric, and will use them in the future for other services they offer.Posted on Google![]()
